Let me have it!

Hit my preboil gravity. Didn't boil off enough and SG came in bout 8pts low. Wyeast 1272 ripped through it 60-63f and its cleaning up here at 1 week and I'm throwing in .5oz of el dorado here in another week. Going for fruity citrus and body.

Based off Wyld cybi clone.

Looks OK. My only comment is that the IBU contribution of the hops seems a little high.

I know it is only a 2.5 gallon batch, but these do seem high:

- 0.2 ozs Amarillo @ 50 = 18 IBUs
- 0.2 ozs 7 Cs @ 30 = 13 IBUs
- 0.5 ozs Simcoe @ 5 = 11 IBUs.

You might want to run this thru another calculator and see what you get.

..... I just ran this thru BeerSmith using generic AA values for the hops, and was surprised at how high the IBUs were. However, both Tinseth and Rager formulas were about 15 to 20% lower than what you show (36.5 and 34.5 respectively vs 42). Not a big deal if it tastes OK.

Its more like 2.8-3gallons
It was raining and cold.

I'm worried aboutbthe carapils amount. But this is even lower than the clone. Maybe it won't be too heavy.

I want a hoppy fruity pale. It was in the red for this app too...

Tasted my 1/2g test batch with a different yeast. Its fruity already! Can't wait to dry hop El dorado!
