With 12 batches under my belt, I figure it's time to start experimenting a little bit

I've done both extract and AG, but I don't have much time this go 'round so I'd like to try my hand at writing an American Brown extract recipe. Last few browns have been a bit malty and finished too high for my taste, so I'm using 05 to get a cleaner profile.

Any obvious flaws in this baby? Figure it would be best to start simple...

Batch size: 5.5 gallon
Boil size: 6.3 gallon

7lbs. Amber LME (half at 60 min./half at 15 min.)
1lb. Crystal 80L
.25lb Chocolate
1.5 oz Wlliamette @ 60
1 oz Fuggle @ 30
.5 oz Amarillo @ 5

Yeast: US 05

Thanks for the feedback. Can you steep Oats? I'm getting the dreaded ! in Beersmith (which denotes it must be mashed).

Try some flaked barley or carapils if you want body. But since it is extract (at least w/ my experiences) they dont finish that low, so there will still be some residual sweetness/body there. I say go for it as it is, then tweak from there
