I have tried numerous cider attempts with success, but the best quickest drinking one was a mix of apple juice and blueberry juice. It ended up tasting somewhat like cranberry (not sure why).

I do all my ciders in one gallon glass jugs so I can keep the bigger equipment open for the beer.

So I started a batch today that was..

1 quart cranberry nectar
1/2 cup sugar
shake the crap out of it
fill rest with apple juice
lalvin 1118

this is the first time I have ever added sugar to the process so we'll see how that works out

I make a cranberry-blueberry-blackberry wine that is very good to drink after 4 weeks. 3 weeks to ferment and 1week with clearing agents. I love HB wine :)
