I started doing this for my BIL. He said he had a project in mind to use them for. After a while I called him and asked if he still wanted them and he said he just ended up asking the area bars for them. I guess some of them were saving the caps somehow. Might be a thing to try.
I actually still do save them. This pas Xmas my wife and kids got me a bottle cap box with a clear front so I can toss my caps in there and see them as the box fills up. Not sure what the point of it is, but some people save their wine corks. I guess it's a reminder of how much I drink. (Although I also keg, so the caps aren't a clear indicator of that either.)
