could i use trailer plugs for rtds?

I will be using 2 rtd probes in my system, 6 wires. Was debating instead of 2 xlr plug sets, would it work to run everything through 1 plug set like this? After the plug i would separate out each set of 3 wires. My rtds will be camlock mounted at the kegs. It will indeed work. There are smaller / lighter / cheaper / easier ways to do it.

Nine pin serial / db-9 connector would handle 6 wires pretty well.
