Cottonseed Hulls instead of Rice Hulls?

The description makes it seem like they're used as filler in cattle feed. If so, that may mean they're feed grade, rather than food grade. Feed grade is two grades below food grade.

I'm not sure I'd want to use something for beer that's only feed grade.

People use deer corn, sweetfeed, ect... to brew all the time(moonshine). These particular hulls I'm talking about are Lost Circulation Material(LCM) used for oilfield drilling. I'll take a pic of some.

I wonder how much residual oil is left in them?
Residual oil? They are dry as a bone when harvested.

I just though I would ask. I'm curious about using the items available in my area: farmers market, prickly pear. It's just my curiosity.
