Cost Effective Temp Control?

I am a newer brewer and would like to find a way to control my temp in a way that is cost effective over the short term and long term. I am more than willing to start a DIY project. Thanks!

stc-1000 combined with a chest freezer off craigslist. you can make a decent-sized 1 happen for around $100 or so

Literally days worth of reading. It will tell you everything you need to know with tons of pictures. If you already have a frig or freezer, you are only $40 - $50 away from having a great temp controller.

Just search for temp controllers
