To a "better" machine? I have been using my Behmor 1600+ now for about a year. It is fun, I put the beans in, let it go until I hear FC and then either pull or let it go a bit longer. About the only other thing I monitor is the temp to make sure it does not go above around 310. My questions is, when if at all, did you move to another machine that might give you a bit more "control" over the roast or produce the flavors that the tasting notes say that is supposed to be there? I have looked at a few machines and damn they are expensive, but the seem to have more bean temp controls instead of just the temp control in the chamber. Am I making too much out of all this? My wife has found a few beans that she likes, so my plan is to start doing bigger batches of them and supplement with anything she finds on sale. Or, is the Behmor good for the home use. Opinions and input welcome. Thanks for reading.
