My very first batch of homebrew was a pumpkin ale that I bottled in Belgian 750s with corks last friday. I followed the directions on Midwest Supplies kit to the 'T'. (Primed with corn sugar boiled and cooled, etc.)
The very first bottle I forgot to adjust the corker and pushed the cork all the way in. I figured it wasn't a big deal, conditioning will push it out. I caged it, adjusted the corker, and continued with the rest of the batch.
I just checked the bottle, and that cork (nor the others) hasn't moved at all.
Am I a nervous new brewer who just needs some patience? At what time-frame should I expect the corks to move into the cages?
