Cord Lock on Bag Drawstring

I have a Wilser bag with many brew sessions on it, and it's still good as new. When I recently got a second pot, it was time for a second Wilser bag. The new bag came with a cord lock on the drawstring that holds the bag on the pot rim. Ingenius! I've since added a cord lock to the old bag. Just thought I'd mention this for anyone who is currently using clips or some other semi-elaborate way to secure the bag.

I really do just need to break down and but a bag from him. I made one for my 30g pot about a month ago out of some old curtains. When I pulled it and started squeezing, hanging from my step ladder, I got a small tear and quickly moved it to the side. It split wide open as soon as I did and made a giant mess on my deck but none in the wort.

Last week I went to the fabric store and bought some voila to make a new bag, but when I went to sew it up the sewing machine gave me fits.

I still made beer but I had to use my MLT. Stuck sparge of course, total of 3 hours to get wort into the BK.

What a headache! Yeah, I'd definitely go with a Wilser bag. I've seen nothing but glowing reviews about them.

Haha, you got that right.....I run four thread machines, and when they go awry it ain't pretty.....making bags is easy, fixing machines not so much!!!

The cord lock is a great feature, very easy to secure the bag on the kettle.

No more clamps or binder clips required
