Hey all, I'm really new to brewing. I purchased two Coopers malt extract cans. One is the Australian Lager, the other is the Brewmaster Pilsner. The directions that came with the cans are extremely vague. There isn't a starting gravity, finishing gravity, or boiling time to follow. These are my third and fourth brews, don't want to screw them up like the first two. Has anyone sucessfully brewed these kits?

I haven't brewed either of those yet. But I have done a lot of beers with Cooper's cans. I brewed a dark hybrid lager with one of their lager cans once. was well received after fermenting with WL029 kolsh yeast. The OG should be in the 1.04X range. 13C to 16C ( 55.4F to 60.8F was what I remember seeing in the instructions. And NEVER boil pre-hopped extracts. I used plain DME, pm, or grain steep for the boil to add hops, etc. Then add the Cooper's can at flame out. Since the wort is still boiling hot, it'll pasteurize just fine in seconds at at least 160F or higher. So just cover & steep at that point while you're getting the ice bath, wort chiller, whatever ready.
