Is anyone familiar with this bucket that comes with a coopers kit?
I have just brewed my 4th batch which is a pale ale (not coopers) and whilst I love the bucket in the main, there is a slight ridge above the tap that allows sediment to settle on.
When draining the bucket to bottling bucket, the sediment tends to get drawn through the tap.
Any idea what I am on about and how to solve it.
If necessary I can post a picture.
Thanks

I have the same issue. But i have found its not that big problem after all. Im using S-04 and have found that any trub i get in the bottles drops like concrete to the bottom of my bottles.

it is better to be on the safe side and sanitize. I just followed the Coopers instructions which said there was no need to sanitize the first time using the kit. I washed it with hot water and my first batch turned out fine.
