How has this control panel mounting arm working out for you? Mine should be delivered tomorrow and was just wondering if I should give this a shot or just go with the one that I got from Brewers Equipment.

It's almost perfect. I had a bit of trouble getting it tight enough to stay in place due to the cheap hex head bolts they used. At some point I am going to hunt down a higher end bolt so that I can easily adjust it, however once I have it set I really can't see needing to do that. So maybe I won't tinker.

I have the same one as well and it works pretty well. I had the same problem with the original hex bolt stripping when I tried to tighten it up, but I was able to pick up a higher quality replacement at HD. Can't remember the exact size, but it was metric...

Hey all,

I was thinking about ordering this today. How is it working for you since this thread started? Can you really tighten it good enough so that it doesn't move AT ALL while you press buttons on your temp controller? Maybe I have a short fuse, but if I have to hold it still with one hand while trying to dial in temps with the other, I'm probably gonna lose my marbles halfway through the brew day.

Thoughts?

I agree, I would like to pull it out into place, lock it in, use it without having to hold it, then unlock it and push it back out of the way.
