My 5 gal batch of apple wine got off to a great start - so great that I should have put a blow over tube on instead of an airlock. Two days in, the airlock had overflowed and made a mess.

As carefully as I could, I removed the bung to clean and re-sanitize, in the process I dripped a little of the overflow juice that was sitting in the bung back in to the carboy. Crap. I cleaned everything up and put a tube in. And it's happily bubbling away.

Should I worry about the dribbles? Did I just make vinegar?

you need a lot of oxygen to make vinegar, it doesn't happen spontaneously. don't expose it to lots of air, like after you rack it don't leave it in a half-filled carboy with loads of head space for four months, you should be ok.
