I have a fermentation chiller (double coil so one end sits in ice bath) which works pretty well but I'm on the lookout for any bright ideas for a cheap container I could sit the brewpot in and create an external ice bath to help the cooling process along faster.
I think my brewpot is ~15" diameter, 11" tall. I don't have any fittings on the brew pot as I just siphon off the cool wort into the fermenter.

Thanks,

Jonno.

Great idea hamiltont. In fact I think we have one in the garage we used as a planter lol - duh. Let's hope it's wide enough.

A couple of wood blocks in the base will probably be needed which also means I need to add the ice after the pot is sat on the blocks. Unless I can find some metal (non-buoyant) blocks to set the pot on.
