I have been brewing Kombucha for a few months now and until recently I have been using big plastic buckets with little trouble (I had nothing else at the time). I found a nice sale though on some 5L glass jars and decided to shell out some money for an upgrade. I made sure to clean well the new glass jars I got everything seemed to go well but I have noticed recently that condensation is forming on the sides of the glass now something that never happened with the plastic though the buckets had a huge mouth where as these have a much smaller one now. I loosened the cloth I keep over top thinking that could be the problem but still condensation. I am going to try an even thinner piece of cloth as I think with the smaller opening the cloth I use might just be too thick. anyways my question is how worried should I be about the condensation ? and is there anything other then switching to a much looser weave cloth I can do to help prevent it if it is a problem ?
