Anyone else know of breweries that know their roots and like to share?

Flying Fish list all thhe ingredients for their beers here.

http://flyingfish.com/beers/

They are also homebrewer friendly. I have emailed them asking about one of their brews and they replied with the info I wanted. Their brewer even posted the recipe for EXIT 4 on this forum.

I can not add to the list but would like to give a big load of thanks and gratitude to all the breweries who do this . This is a most amazing thing for a company to do . these are people that truly love brewing and wish to share the experience . they are in effect taking business from themselves by giving up their information to cloners .

I tried E-Mailing these guys about the great Stroh's Bock beer they used to sell in the 70's & I think 80's. http://www.strohbeer.com/Home.aspx No response so far. Might have to call then instead. Stroh's bock came out in the spring if I remember right. In a yellow can. It was so popular around here that even Pizza Hut had it on tap. It was great with their pizzas.

I emailed Boulder about their Chocolate Porter. No response yet but it hasn't even been a week.

I emailed Great Lakes once to ask them about their Alchemy Hour IPA (now Chillwave) and they were very friendly and clarified that they use Nugget to bitter and Mosiac/Cascade for late hop/dry hop additions.

What they say about Chillwave...............i want to know how much so I can try a clone 5gallon lol

Ingredients:
MALT Harrington 2-Row Base Malt: Allows color and flavor from other specialty malts to come through; makes for very clean beer Caramel 45: Contributes to amber color; provides complexity Honey Malt: Contributes sweetness

HOPS Mosaic: New U.S. hop; provides floral, tropical, fruity, and earthy characteristics Nugget: U.S. bittering hop; provides floral, resiny aroma and flavor Cascade: U.S. hop with citrus characteristics for aroma

Just stumbled upon this thread, thanks a bunch Kingmatt.

I just bottled my Chillwave inspired IPA today (lower ABV/IBU...I love Chillwave's flavor but can only drink a few before I am on my ass). I'll let you know how it turns out.

I checked three different ones ( love their 2x and unearthly) and not seeing ingredients....other than 3 malts, 4 hops, ABV%, Ale yeast..... maybe I'm missing something? I looked at all the items that got downloaded......

New Holland Brewing lists the ingredients (Malts, Hops, Yeast) and some other details (OG and IBUs) on their site. I haven't tried actually getting ahold of them for more specifics yet. But with August fast approaching, I will be trying to get details on their White Hatter Belgian WPA so I can clone it for the winter. Great thread, this might be Sticky-worthy... :mug:
