How much color do cocoa nibs contribute? If I used 3-4 oz in a 5 gallon batch, how much darker would that make the Beer? Or would it really have much effect at all?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to add a little bit a chocolate flavor to a wheat beer. I think it might be fun with the banana esters, but I don't want it to get too dark. Any ideas?

I've only ever used them in dark beers. They might provide a little coloration but it won't be enough to turn your beer dark I would guess. If you're really concerned you could always go with a chocolate extract or make a tincture with cocoa nibs and vodka.
