My 1 gallon test patch of cider with close to a pound of honey has finally reached less than 1.030. I'm giving it until tomorrow to bust a move and see what happens. I want siphon it to the glass 1 gallon carboy and cold crash for 15 minutes in a tub of ice water and siphon back to fermentor to clean out the coagulated yeast of the glass jug. Then I want to repeat this about 2 more times to try to remove as much yeast as possible. And then stuff em in the fridge.
I know it won't have carbonation but that's fine, I'd rather it be flat than a bomb.
What do you guys think about that? (I was also thinking of straining through coffee filters to catch the floating debris)
