I bought an extract kit for a coffee stout. A couple of questions. How anal do I have to be in cleaning the coffeemaker, or is there a better way to make the coffee? The instructions say to use a drip coffeemaker and brew it strong.
 
Thanks for the reply, I should have clarified a little bit. I've already boiled and done the primary fermentation. It's in the secondary now, and instructions say to put it in the secondary.
 
I always do cold press and add it at bottling time. Allows you to add the appropriate amount for your tastes before sealing up the bottles.
