CO2 tank question

Brewmasters,

I just got into the kegerator building business and had a stupid question. I have a 5# tank that won't fit in the fridge with two cornies. I want the ability to dispense one keg and force carb another at the same time. I picked up a regulator with two outlets on it, but because the tank won't fit, is it necessary to drill two holes to accomodate both hoses, or is there something I'm missing?

Get a high pressure hose like the one above(its a rip off) and mount the tank on the outside and hang the gauges inside the fridge. Best of luck

Well first thing first, I would run one hose in and put a T in the line to split it off into 2. Easiest way to do that.

However, when you say force carb, do you just mean regular carbonating? In other words, your going to set your reg at 15 psi and run that to both right? Get a T and plug off the second outlet (or run 2 hoses...which ever is easiest).

Right now you have a single regulator with a t, correct? I would leave that as is. Only run one line into the keezer and leave the other one as a spare (it comes in handy). Set the pressure on that reg to the higher pressure (assuming you force carb at 30 psi or so). Then, inside the kegerator, add a t and a secondary regulator to lower the pressure further to the psi you want for serving.

Or you could drill two holes and use what you have...

or drill 1 hole large enough for both hoses, then silicone the hole up.

OK, I think the question here is what does the OP mean by force carbing. Is he going to slowly carb over at serving psi or does he want to quickly carb at a high psi and then drop. If its the latter, then you just go with what you have.

I was planning on having the capability to force carb at 30 psi or so. I think I'll end up running the two hoses...I'd like to avoid condensation on the regulator.
