Co2 regulator compatibility

We just moved to South America and sadly some of my brewing equipment didn't make it through customs. I've got my kegerator and most of my equipment, but my regulator didn't make it.
Is the regulator used in brewing the same as a welding regulator? Where might I find a comparable pressure regulator to be used for kegging?

A welding regulator works just fine, but don't mistake it for a flowmeter which won't do you any good.

Welding regs have flow meters in place of the low pressure gauge you want/need. If you replace the flow meter with a low pressure gauge you'd be in business...
