So here in Libya there are no home brew shops or paintball gun stores. None of the restaurants have soda fountains so I can’t ask them where they get theirs. I’d like to get into kegging in the near future but I don’t want to buy the gear if I can’t find a source of CO2. So while I know you guys don’t know Libya any better than I do, perhaps you can suggest some other types of businesses that would be willing to sell CO2. I figured it was worth a try at least.

What about someplace that carries welding supplies? Certainly they weld metal in Libya.

I have seen road side shops where welding was being done. I know next to nothing about welding, do they use pure CO2 for that?

So just how long is this posting for anyway? This sounds like it would be the height of difficulty to pull off.

Hmmm.....In the states fire extinguisher supply places also often carry co2. Is there anything like that there?

Don't you have any pull? Can't you just get a c-130 drop with a pallet of everything you need? ;)

It is a two year assignment. It won't be that big of an issue if I can't pull it off. I still have bottling. Not sure about extinguisher supply places. I know they sell extinguishers though.

As for the c-130? Yeah, I'm guessing they might frown on that. :)

And to think I thought all you diplomats were secretly CIA agents and could topple governments on your lunch hour and stuff like that. ;)

What about trying terrorists-r-us. It should be by the bomb making supplies.

He need this guy....

All joking aside, I used to work with a C-130 unit and saw abuses that bad all the time. Always burns me up, people don't have any idea how many people get stomped on to make something that happen, all for some blissfully ignorant ******* who gives no thought to the effort involved. Imagine you and a dozen of your friends getting called in and missing Thanksgiving with your families because some Senator wants Thanksgiving dinner delivered to him. Not that you would do something like that, Bob, I'm just saying...

/off-topic rant

Yeah, welding or fire-extinguisher shops.

I am boycotting them. They just waltz in and take all the business away from the little mom and pop terrorist shops. And the customer service is horrible.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. I have supported the visits of countless Generals, Admirals, Congressmen, and even a couple Presidents. As a tax payer some of the waste I see on those visits infuriates me. I have seen mil-air land just so the VIP's wife could shop.

And thanks for the advice on the welding places all. I will definitely check that out.

By the way...I sacrificed minutes, long minutes of my precious time, (5 at least) slaving over a hot computer running photoshop to make a spoof of the Lord of War Movie poster and I didn't get one ****** "thumbs up" or "ROFLMAO" or ANYTHING acknowledging my photoshop acumen, or my pop culture knowhow, or my ironic sense of humor, or my sacrifice of 5 minutes or anything.

:fro:

Kudos Revv.... Sorry, I was busy working - not an excuse, I should follow your works more closely - please forgive me. That is a master piece! The best; you are like the Mike Angelo of photoshop...... I ROFLMAO and LOL at the same time.... :) :) :)
