Well we have our annual club wort day next weekend July 20th here in Aitkin, Mn.
What is sad is only a few people have said they are coming. It is free, take home a jug or a bucket of sweet wort, all you have to do is show up in the morning with a container.

With have not decided on a recipe yet, two years ago a cream ale, last year a Marzen (octoberfest style) which turned out well and I served at our Harvest Moon Brewfest last year.

Sounds cool. Somebody posted to my club's Facebook about a brewery in the area (in Maryland I think) doing something similar. I debated about signing up, but it filled up in like 1 day. I have done similar events with a local club where we all pitch in $20, and get 6-ish gallons of wort.

Well I went with three buckets planning to come home with 12 gallons. The few people who said they were going did not show so I came home with a few buckets more. Approx 24 gallons!!
With family requiring attention I boiled and chilled from 3pm until and set the third fermenter in the basement at 3:30am.
Two 6 and one 5 gallon fermenters bubbling happily.
