Dear Friends:

I have 20 liters of beer (kolsch) in my fermenting plastic tank.

I have been observing the process for these 9 days and I saw the following:

1. I can watch the foam at the top of the beer.
2. I can watch the sediment at the bottom of the beer.

But I have doubts:

1. When I'm going to watch the clarity of the beer? The beer is still cloudy like a turbulent river.
2. What do you recomend me to do?

Best Regards,

Huascar

Wait. It will take a few weeks to clarify in most cases depending on many factors. Just let it sit with the airlock and in 3-4 weeks it should be good to bottle.

And revvy will be in here to throw up a sticky for ya that will go into great detail about the topic. It will be helpful for sure.

Clarity comes with time. Let it sit in primary till you get a stable FG. Then give it another 3-5 days to clean up it's by products of fermentation,& settle out more. Then bulk prime & bottle. Give'em 3-5 weeks at room temp, away from the light to condition. Then 2 weeks in the fridge to get a thicker head,& longer lasting carbonation.
