Hi There,
Nobody ?
Just wanted to know if that recipe was correctly balanced ? for a low ibu blond summer ale…
Need help here !:eek::beard:
thanks

Hi Carl

In the absence of other replies.......

Overall, it looks like a very pale, easy drinking recipe. Should be quite sessionable, which it sounds like you are looking for.

Specifics:
I've never used corn, so can't comment on it's use.
Why the pilsner malt? I can't see that amount having any impact on the beer.
4.7% acid malt is a lot. Do you have hard water with a high pH?
If this if for a craft brewery, saaz is expensive as a bittering hop (due to low IBU's), consider using something like centennial or northern brewer.

Hi Gnome,
Thanks for taking some time.

About the pilsner, I wanted to put some for the brightness and clear color, but I was wondering doing half pale and half pilsner ! what do you think together ?

About acid malt, I have a water pH @ 8 and the mash @ around 7 something, I tried to put Calcium sulfate but wasn't very happy, on my last brew, acid malt was very useful, with 5%, I had a pH @ 5.5…

Good point for the Saaz, I did my beer bill for 500 liters this morning, and price is flying high !!!

It is not that I want it sessionable, I want it drinkable by any beer drinker(male& female) that enjoys a nice thirst quencher beer, without the harsh of the hop.

thank again

I have had good success with us-05 in blondes when fermenting at 62F or 16.6C, resulting in clean flavors and great clarity
