So I decided to try Notty again, I rehydrated per packet instructions, tempered it with wort til it was at pitching temps and in it went! that was sunday eve, set temp to 62 and fermentation started sometime overnight and was quite happily churning monday eve, Today I am sitting in the bar having a brew and I hear a thump from the mini fridge. The top to the airlock was behind the freezer plate at the back of the fridge, krausen on the ceiling of the fridge, and a puddle is forming in the drip channels. I hope that this is an indicator that Notty is back in action! I originally had fairly low expectations for this batch and that is why I stuffed an airlock into the carboy instead of the usual blowoff tube. the blowoff tube is now in place. I have since ratcheted up hopes on this batch!
