I built myself a keg/carboy washer with the plastic spray ball from McMaster and got a pump that really get's the spray ball moving. I typically would put about 5-6" of hot water in my big sink in the brewery add sun oxiclean and leave it running for 30 min if not longer. I've just started to notice on my carboy there is a small amount of something thats still sticking to the sides and you have to look somewhat close to find it, but it just indicates to me I'm doing a good job of cleaning.

What methods do other people use with spray balls or cleaner? I'm a little nervous since I use this for my kegs and never thought twice about it.

EDIT: I should add that the same carboy was then filled up and let to soak overnight with the oxiclean and all the build up went away. What am I missing with the spray ball method?
