So im trying to clean out the garage and I got a lot of things I need to sell so I can have funds for a bulk grain buy and to work on a keezer or to buy me a stainless conical.

I have roughly 10-15 fishing poles that I can get rid of. All of them are baitcasters that I bought from many trips to Bass Pro shops when I was heavy into tournament fishing. Since I sold my boat I guess I can get rid of some. I paid roughly 70-200 bucks a piece for most of them.

I also have a 4x8 1" Itallian slate pool table built out of Oak, with brown leather pockets. I LOVE This table but i need to get rid of it as we dont have the room we should when we moved. The felt needs to be replaced on it though. The moving company didnt stretch it as well as they should have when they re assembled it.

Would craigslist be the best route to go to get rid of all this stuff? Ive never really put much on craigslist before. Is there a better way to make sure I get rid of this stuff? If so lemme know.

Thanks!!

Craigslist is pretty awesome, I've only put a couple things on there, but they all got picked up in a day or 2. Just make sure your price is good, otherwise, why look for used stuff?

Craigslist is as good as selling in any classifieds were, just a larger audience. Be prepared for the "It's posted for $150, will you take $50?" questions.

i would use craigslist. i love it and use it all the time. but like stated above, make sure you are ready for the low ballers.

i usually post things a little higher than i want because i know people will offer me lower prices. but be careful, dont post too high of prices or your adds will get ignored.

i know from personal experience that used fishing gear is not worth much if you dont hit the right group of people, they dont see the value in the stuff and treat it like a yard sale and try to offer $10 for the package deal

on another note is this all fresh water gear? i am interested in the gear if its salt water gear.

I'm a bigger fan of ebay than Craigs list. To many creeps to show up at your door and try to haggle with your pice. If you have a way to ship these items.....ebay is the way to go. I've sold alot of stuff on ebay and I've gotten alot more for stuff than I thought it was worth or would have asked for. One man's junk is......

if you are willing to ship and put some time into selling the stuff i would use ebay. if you want it gone now, use CL

I'm sure Columbus has some big indoor flea markets that go on year round... you might not get top dollar for everything, but you'll sure unload it all.

CL is pretty clutch but it can be a hassle sometimes. I was trying to sell some stuff last year and people would email me saying they would take it and then I would never hear from them again. That happened on more then one occasion too.

yeah when emptying all my unwanted **** from my various places during my "fall cleanup" i went through the same thing... i got rid of it all eventually, just expect a handful of attempts to fall through.

I agree, Craigslist is the best route... And I recommend NOT holding it for anyone, if someone says they'll be there tomorrow to buy them, and then someone emails you today and says they can be there today, sell to whomever shows up first, regardless of when they contacted you. I've done the 'yes I'll hold it for you until next week' and then next week comes and that person won't reply to emails or call you back.

I got rid of my pre-deployment cleaning stuff on CL and I got what I wanted for it all, and it only took like 2 weeks.
