I found a guy selling 55lb bag of pale malt for 40 dollars. i now have it home but i was thinking. the bag says canada malting co and has a checked box that says pale malt. no check marks in the other boxes like 2 row or 6 row. any 1 have anymore info on this grain and type as i didnt ask much when i picked it up, to excited and really dont know much bout Ag brewing but im fixing to move that way soon and thought it would be a good investment. Picked up a corona mill this weekend also but thats another story. any info on this grain would be helpful. thx Les:rockin:

pretty sure its 2-row got a a sack sounding very similar to the one that you described at a homebrew shop, paid 42 fwiw.

Its pale ale malt. Its slightly darker than regular 2row and more of a biscuity/bready character. Its closer to a UK pale malt than American 2row. I've used this malt several times with great results, actually prefer it over 2row. Substitute it for 2row in any recipe and you will be happy with the results.
