Tried Hard Sauce with a group of friends here in Miami a few weeks ago when a friend opened his bottle.

I don't think I even finished my pour. We all thought it was pretty bad and the bottle was left half full.

Still have my own unopened bottle, looking forward to linking up with someone who finds it delicious and has something worthwhile to trade for it - perhaps we just had a bad bottle, but my loss will be someone's gain ;)

same experience.
inb4 only cuz it tastes like inferior secondary value.

The hate for CCB beers is fascinating to me - I've opened a ton of El Catador bottles that get no fanfare, and the people I share them with seem to love them.

Cracked Good Gourd Have Mercy, Dioscorides, and Trousseau and all were really tasty, especially Dios and Good Gourd. My only complaint would be the price tag - if these were more in line with a $20 price point, I'd absolutely grab extras.

Bourbon Barrel Penultimate Push

Something that would keep my renewal going, right there.

I checked the ECC site first, didn't see it, but it's announced on FB. Maybe they're trying something new with the releases instead of allowing immediate pick up. Could be they're tired of the surprises being ruined a day early? Or maybe it's just odd timing.

In any case, this will likely keep my membership running for one more round.

ft gross licorice thing iso penultimate push or really ******* a can of tecate tbh

I'm not an anise fan at all myself. Got to open my Storming of the Floridablanca and the licorice is incredibly subdued to the point where you probably wouldn't pick up on it unless someone told you it was there. Overall a pretty tasty stout.

No hate at all for CC here. Had my Decoherence a few months ago and was floored.

Did anyone try last weeks Growler Tuesday... Vendimia De Marzo. Had it Friday. Was damn good.
Was a blend of Abs OK, a CCB Base BA Stout (did not know they had that) and an unreleased ECC Smoked Stout.
Tasted phenomenal, I got little to no smoke lots of barrel. Crowler was a little steep $29.00 (but I had to grab 2)

I loved Storming and Hard Sauce both. I was honestly surprised after all of the negativity they both received. Hard Sauce was definitely in my wheel house. Excited to try Cookie and BB PP when I decide to go pick up bottles.

New beer:

Rustic woody aromas mingle with herbaceous agave and ripe cherries on the nose, while the palate of this complex ale boasts notes of tropical fruit, red grapes, and lime. Introducing bottle #4, Dis Legomenon, a Tequila Barrel-aged Tripel/American Sour Ale Blend

**** tequila barrel beers.

I'm really not looking forward to this one, but I really dislike Tripels so it makes sense to me. I'll probably open one with a few people, then give the other one away to my buddy who digs tequila.
I'm into tripels, but I've yet to have a tequila barrel beer I've enjoyed.

Cycle's Pallet #?#?#? four or five I think was Tequila BA and it was great as was Firestone PNC (?). However, i do strongly agree most Tequila BA beers I have had have been bad to awful, Green Bench Tequila BA Mailorder Bride, El Murcielago,.....
Supposedly Funky Buddha's new batch of Mexican Coffee aged in Jose Cuervo barrels is good as well, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
I'm curious how this El Cat bottle will be, I enjoyed Hapax, so maybe...
hoping for Life is Like for the final bottle. that or the already bottled AB Huna that's just sitting in the CCB warehouse.

PNC might be the greatest tequila beer ever made. That beer is stupid good.

I think the challenge with this El Cat beer is that it's sour. Maybe it's a stunner, who knows. And tequila can certainly carry some fruit notes. We shall see.

I had PNC about a year ago and was disappointed. First time so never had it fresh for comparison. I really wanted it to wow me based on what I heard from Dizzydsmith
