El Catador Club #6 - Bottle #1: Absolutely Okay

We are truly excited to release the first bottle in the 6th Edition of our El Catador Barrel-aged Beer Club, Absolutely Okay.

This International Strong Dark Ale was brewed with our friends from Belgium’s De Struise Brouwers and aged in bourbon barrels. De Struise’s deft hand in recipe creation has combined with Cigar City’s adroit barrel aging skills to create this monumental collaboration that is superlatively, unquestionably, and indisputably “Absolutely OK”.

ABV: 12.9%
OG: 22
IBUs: 40
SRM: 36

This sounds good. Then again, I've liked everything I've had from the last two rounds (only drank my floridablanca so far from round 5 which seemed to polarize people), so maybe I'm just too easy to please.

So, no actual description. Interesting.

Huge bonus points for the Seinfeld reference. Love that episode.

"Cinnamon takes a back seat to no babka. People love cinnamon. It should be on tables at restaurants along with salt and pepper. Anytime anyone says, "Oh this is so good, what's in it?" The answer invariably comes back, "Cinnamon." "Cinnamon." Again and again. Lesser babka?? I think not."

Doug from Cycle quoted this word for word when talking about his most popular beers. It was great.
