I'd definitely try it, but pumpkin beers are not my jam.Is it not very good? As good as GG is, I assume GGA would be dreamy.

Not mine either, but GG is exceptional.I'd definitely try it, but pumpkin beers are not my jam.
GGA is fantastic. Rum works perfect with the pumpkin. It's the only pumpkin beer I like more than Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin. Is it not very good? As good as GG is, I assume GGA would be dreamy.
Heirloom Pumpkin didn't wow me.GGA is fantastic. Rum works perfect with the pumpkin. It's the only pumpkin beer I like more than Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin.
Me neither.Heirloom Pumpkin didn't wow me.
I have found that many pumpkin beers are great when you just have a little bit. I think of it as Pepsi Challenge Syndrome. (Also often true with beers that are really sweet...)I only had a little bit of Heirloom Pumpkin at a share but I thought it was great. I plan on opening mine around Thanksgiving.
What does everyone think of the three bottles announced today? I've got to say, I'm a bit disappointed, even though GGA and Don Gavino aren't surprises.
Good Gourd Almighty is great for me. Also the guava sour in chardonnay barrels sounds good. The other one? Not sure how I feel about it -- rose hips and marionberries, plus hibiscus and acai berries, and in pinot barrels. Doesn't sound awesome to me, but we'll see. And I'm rarely a fan of collaboration beers.
BA Huna has to be the last one, so that should be a can't-miss.
Basically this. Though to be fair I was expecting absolutely nothing good from this and Forgotten Island was actually pretty enjoyable, so so far they've exceeded my expectations.
I have to agree with this. I hope that the new releases make me eat my words just like FI did.Basically this. Though to be fair I was expecting absolutely nothing good from this and Forgotten Island was actually pretty enjoyable, so so far they've exceeded my expectations.
Same. I usually take a trip in March and hoped I could pick up in person in that time frame.Slightly disappointed, more surprised honestly and even more concerned about the timing for the final release now- I was hoping to go down myself to pick up bottles/crunk on Cycle/7venth Sun/Rapp/Angry Chair/Funky Buddha/JWake/Gravity ideally in the spring or summer

If either of you need help with your bottles I'd be happy to lend a hand.Same. I usually take a trip in March and hoped I could pick up in person in that time frame.
Please don't quote me on this, but last time I was in Tampa (~4 weeks ago) we were told that the BA Hunahpu's was going to be double barrelled. Apple Brandy for certain and something else. Not sure if they are bulk aging in one barrel then racking to another, or aging half the batch in one type and half in the other, then blending. Either way, I'm stoked.
I have a DDG+Melange1 b1 for someone's DB Huna. This was the Only reason I wanted to sign up for the Catador Club, but at the time couldn't afford it.

Tempting.
Personally, I wouldn't make this trade.
