GGA is fantastic. Rum works perfect with the pumpkin. It's the only pumpkin beer I like more than Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin.

If Good Gourd Almight isn't the next beer, I at least hope it's an extra available for purchase. It would be perfect for Thanksgiving.

GGA is fantastic. Rum works perfect with the pumpkin. It's the only pumpkin beer I like more than Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin.

I have never had a pumpkin beer I've really liked, which is weird because I love pumpkin pie. So I'm definitely hoping for something not GGA.

I only had a little bit of Heirloom Pumpkin at a share but I thought it was great. I plan on opening mine around Thanksgiving.

I have found that many pumpkin beers are great when you just have a little bit. I think of it as Pepsi Challenge Syndrome. (Also often true with beers that are really sweet...)

Good Gourd Almighty is great for me. Also the guava sour in chardonnay barrels sounds good. The other one? Not sure how I feel about it -- rose hips and marionberries, plus hibiscus and acai berries, and in pinot barrels. Doesn't sound awesome to me, but we'll see. And I'm rarely a fan of collaboration beers.

BA Huna has to be the last one, so that should be a can't-miss.

My excitement for the BA Huna makes up for most of my disappointment. Of the three I'm most excited about the collaboration beer. But as you say, collaborations often aren't all that great. GGA just seems like a boring choice, and I say this as a pretty big fan of Good Gourd. Hopefully the Don Gavino's and the collaboration will surprise me.

I have to agree with this. I hope that the new releases make me eat my words just like FI did.

We knew what labels were approved, none of the bottles were going to be a surprise. At least El Muci didn't end up being a Catador bottle.

Same. I usually take a trip in March and hoped I could pick up in person in that time frame.

Please don't quote me on this, but last time I was in Tampa (~4 weeks ago) we were told that the BA Hunahpu's was going to be double barrelled. Apple Brandy for certain and something else. Not sure if they are bulk aging in one barrel then racking to another, or aging half the batch in one type and half in the other, then blending. Either way, I'm stoked.
