Dumb question, to change your trustee, you just go to edit account info and enter the new email address correct? Then CCB emails them back to verify them?
Yes

No on email back from CCB to verify.

It will check to make sure the trustee is signed up and accept proxy

First collaboration is with cycle, second with funky Buddha.

I might be out, TBH. It's hard to justify the membership and I'm running out of room. Plus I may be moving soon, so I'm very much on the fence. Collabs could be good or could be very bad.

Not sure how the beer brethren feel about 3 Sons but Artanis was in the house not too long ago.

I know it's the cool thing in Florida to **** on funky, and rightfully so after rum last snow and some other truly awful releases, but they were pretty great once and last I checked still put out the occasional hit. I'm not saying they are still on par with the lounge days but as far as adjunct heavy beers they have been enjoyable. They'll be somewhat involved in a beer being brewed on a smaller system on someone else's dime. Consider me cautiously optimistic

**** them. I watched it all unfold and they deserve to be **** on.

The secret to it all was the lounge would put additions in their kegs after the beer was done. That's why the berliners we so fruit and nib smuggler was so chocolatey, they put actual ingredients in the keg in a tied up pantyhose. When they went to Oakland they couldn't do that anymore and the beer sucked.

Care to elaborate?
I did before somewhere. Basically Ryan never took care of his Brewers and the ones who made a name for the beer have been gone for years. They got sick of **** pay, especially after the brewery in Oakland opened. Then the lounge was left to die and new ****** managers drove the staff away.

Bottle logic is next. I see this:
OJ136gd.png

It reminded me of how much I hate beer and has cemented my decision to end my membership.

I feel like it's pretty clear what they're doing. ECC was very prestigious at first and there was a waitlist, people clamoring to get in, bottles were very sought after, etc.

After a few sessions of mediocre stuff, nobody seemed to care anymore and people who entered the lottery didn't want in anymore. I'll admit this last round was quite good, but I can't really justify the price anymore. Paying $35/bomber is too much when you have great stuff sitting on shelves with no line. I can walk into my local place and find 10-15 beers that are as quality for much cheaper.

Now that it's not the hot club it was, they're trying to build up the hype again by collaborating with hype breweries. Who's next? Other Half, Trillium, SARA, Side Project? Who knows. I thought after the first two collabs were announced they'd stick with Florida breweries, but clearly that's not the case.

I hope they do well, but I'm not going to renew - based on some personal factors as well, but a lot of it is the price for the quality of beers. I wouldn't pay $35 outright for many of the beers I've had from the club, and that's the deciding factor for me.

And also they **** on all the people who signed up for their founders club, but damn the lounge did have some great treatments back in the day.

Picking up my bottles today, probably going to swing by AC also. Any recs for someplace to grab some lunch

Depends what you are in the mood for, but Coppertail Brewing has a scaled down version of The Stein and Vine (amazing restaurant in Brandon, FL, which if you aren't pressed for time would be my recommendation). Datz is also very good, but probably going to be really crowded today.

For a more low key lunch is La Segunda Central Bakery in Ybor for the best Cuban I've ever had.

The refinery next to angry chair is great and the independent is solid if you just want a quick sandwich. There’s also a ramen spot in the area that some friends love but I’ve never been and don’t remember the name.

Just realized the pick up deadline is July 9th. Whoops. Anyone willing to proxy my last 5 bottles? Obviously at no cost to you (other than time/transportation), I’ll send a shipper full of plenty of goodies to make it worth your while with a return label in tow. Thanks!

Gonna post in here first: since the end of round 1 of Catador I’ve been “leasing” my membership out to another TB’er for a couple bottles of local stuff or a bottle of lambic upon renewal. Basically I renew it, change the trustee name to whomever you pick, give you access to the account so you can order extra things, and forward you the emails. I don’t take any of the CCB bottles or swag, but have thought about splitting the 12btl membership as well. If anyone is interested, hit me up. It’s worked out perfectly fine these past 4 or so years.

I am headed up next weekend for anyone who needs trustee-ing. Relatively new here I guess but can link my old ba account or something.

Looking for someone that wants to buy my ECC 9 edition. I am currently underemployed and looking to sell it for cost.
I dont want to lose my ability to renew for ECC 10. You pay me, I pay CCB on the same day and send you the recpt.

I only ask for 1 of the bottles and half of the four pack free gift. ( I know they have not announced the gift yet, But I was told it was MZ again) if it snot we can talk about it. . The bottle can be done randomly. Random.org or something like that.
Let that BM fly in....

What the **** is it with people trying to temporarily unload their Cat membership and profit in the interim? Already two cringeworthy examples on this page. Maybe BigGene was being sarcastic (really not sure), but @seawatchmen certainly wasn’t.

If you don’t want it or can’t justify the cost (short or long term), then let someone take it over with no strings attached. They get the beer they paid for and you get first rights of refusal for the next iteration. Seems fair.

I’ve shared memberships that were wholly mine, loaned out memberships I needed a break from and ‘borrowed’ memberships other folks needed a break from. Never did I attempt to profit from the access nor would I have agreed to let someone profit off of me.

Agreed 100%. I'm just not going to renew and don't really give a ****. Last round they had a hard time getting the club filled so I'm not seeing how people would pay other people to use a membership they can get themselves.

If he's for real BigGene is being greedy. He should be happy just keeping his discount for the tap room.
