**** tix still left? Trying to talk myself into this...but that ****** 12 bottle ticket price...
FWIW I bought 2 8 bottle tickets and I currently have 4 bottles left. Rest is going out at cost, so there are still ways to get the price down if you don't want to keep all your bottles.

time to figure out lodging...

Next up looks like Floridablanca. Best I can tell is that it's an ale aged in Rum Barrels.

Looks like we can also pick-up our sweet bar set-thing.

Just posted on FB - it's a Rum Barrel aged Strong Dark Ale with Licorice Root.

Edit: tasting notes according to the sales sheet:

This unique strong dark ale boasts dark cherry, chicory, and dark chocolate on the nose with a soft wine-like aroma complimenting. On the palate, semi-sweet chocolate, fudge, molasses, and candied flavors are balanced by rum spiciness, wood tannins, and an assertive carbonation.

So wait, does licorice root not taste like licorice?

Thinking they want to finish this round by years end and have a nice and clean, quarterly club for 2017.

Also, I'm thinking they will want to release bottle #5 (AB Huna is my guess) soon to quiet all the complaints about this "interesting" beer....and about how quickly it's gone.

God damn, we're on bottle 4 already in less than 2 months! Not complaining about that.
I think the rate of releases is too much for me. Seriously considering dropping to 1 bottle membership next round or dropping entirely. I'm not drinking through all these high ABV beers nearly as quick as they are releasing them and I'm not sure I can justify spending $300 on El Cat every couple of months.

Def too fast for me. Plus besides Bourbon MZ there isn't much I love from this go around. Considering dropping down to 1 bottle or dropping all together.

The rapid fire releases forced me out this round after being in since the beginning. It stung a bit when that BA Zhukov dropped but watching these other ones hasn't been that bad. The FOMO is slowly dissipating while my bank account thanks me (for those considering the same drop).

Now if CCB dropped the frequency of the El Cat releases and made some of these newer more ambitious and creative brews available to the general public instead, it would have made the membership worthwhile. This thing seems to be a dumping ground for any random BA creation they come up with sprinkled with a killer bottle that everyone wants from time to time to keep the interest alive.

i am, was hoping for this to stretch out through february so the 30 day pickup would fall somewhere around huna day.
my trade partner and i can't keep scheduling trips to tampa for picking up bottles if CCB is going to release el cat on a 2 month schedule. i wish they would do a 2 membership a year schedule with about a beer a month.
