I've read up about this kit a lot of mixed reviews I am new to all this I've done a little research on the basics need some advice I wanted to put a little extra sugar in and added about a half a kilo more so I'm guessing it will be really sweet anyone got any ideas to drop the sweetness?

You can reduce the sweetness by letting it ferment dry. A lot of cider kits include a sugar substitute sweetener for finishing. That sweetener won't ferment so it leaves the residual sweetness. If you add real sugar to the kit in the primary, the yeast will eat it all and provide more alcohol not sweetness at the end.

Just let it ferment until the gravity drops to near 1.000 and you will be fine.
