Ive made a chinook and Columbus DIPA (5 gallons) and id like to dry hop next week for more citrus fruity floral aroma.

My question is can i mix boiled chinook and Columbus hops with dry hopped citra slimcoe amarillo for example.

Maybe its best to stay with columbus and chinook to match the boiled hops but i feel its not the best dry hops aroma and my beer will be too harsh.

What do you think i can dry hop to get the best out of my beer!

Thanks!!

Something about layering the hop aroma.

But personally, I think this will go the way of continuous hopping. Too much effort for very little (if any) return.

You can dry hop in primary or secondary. Harder to keep the o2 out if you transfer to secondary.

Dry hopping isn't linear. More hops doesn't equal more extraction. In reality most of the oil extraction happens in a day or two. Keeping it around 65-70 is important. Warm enough to extract aroma but not too warm to get the vegetal flavors. Short, smaller dry hops gets more of the good out of the hops and less of the bad.

My beer is arround 68 all the time so its gonna be perfect ill buy some cascade and centennial and give it a try !!
