I don't know anything about this, but you might try the gluten free forum. They have all kinds of experience with unusual ingredients and might be able to tell you whether this works, and any special concerns about using it.

This sounds almost like something your mother would make you finish before you can have any desert. "You have to drink up all your chickpea beer before you can have any cake."
