Chickens in back garden!

Have just booked into a chicken keeping course! This should be fun. The man taking it sounds competely mad
I thought that one of my chickens was dying / ill the other day. It just sat still on day on the ground, not eating and very angry when I went towards it. Brooding / sulking apparently. No egg under it though which is what confused me. I have a LOT to learn!
Bought my last store eggs last week and they are now finished so from now it is backyard eggs or nothing

Genius idea about the spent grains. My chickens were so focused on the grain that they ignored me........ I like to run up and down the run they have and they chase me....not this time. Every other brew will be for the chickens. The other brews will be for bread. I can envision the chicken dance once they learn. Can't wait.
