Hello from Madison, Wisconsin

I'm a first timer to the site and just finished my third ever batch of brew.

I was just in Madison two weeks ago for a class at the University. During my free time I found the local brew called Spotted Cow. Good Stuff!! If you can find a clone I would love to try it.

---Spotted Cow is certainly a local favorite around WI., it's from a small town called New Glarus--they simply make good beer. Next time try New Glarus Yokel.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a clone--I'd love to find one, too.

First two bathes turned out surprisingly well! Now I'm interested in buying the necessary ingredients separately (rather than a box kit) and starting from scratch even further.

Any suggestions where to buy ingredients for a good price? Online? Can you buy bulk?

I find best 2 places to buy supplies in bulk online are Northernbrew.com and midwestsupplies.com. They are both extremely reasonable on extract, Midwest even sells extract in 6 packs of 6 lb jugs. comes out to about 15 bucks a jug with shipping and all. cheap enough that all grain brewing is barely any cheaper than extract, but when you brew with extract long enough I would still take the plung into all grain simply because it expands your brewin horizons and gives you more control over the brew.
