Just so everyone understands, my end game for all of these is to switch them all to ball locks. They all had ball lock on them when I picked them up I believe, but I could be mistaken. I think there was one with a pin lock. It could very well have been the one I am struggling with.

Also, many of the lids looked like this. What is that extra port for?

I've seen extra ports used for carbonation stones and pressure gauges. There are probably other uses too. Shouldn't matter as long as you have a way to seal them.

Can't see the posts on the offending keg in the new pix.

Those look like new-ish generic posts. They may not be able to compress the dip tube o-rings enough to seal. Have you tried swapping with posts from one of the other kegs?

You are right. I ordered a pair of "universal" posts before I knew there was a difference. I am thinking of just ordering a set of posts for a pin to ball lock conversion. They come with all the Orings and are said to work. My question is there are posts for Firestone and AEB but nothing for Spartenburg. I have been reading and it seems that Firestone and Spartenburg are the same? I have 9 or 10 more to deal with, but I would love to get this one set up as it fits in my kegerator so I can have an extra keg at the ready. LOL. Thanks to all who looked and replied.

It's a bit dodgy. Searching for "pin lock conversion posts" works on some sites, "pin lock to ball lock" on others, but on some sites neither string helps and you have to paw around through generic "keg post" searches. On the upside it appears both riser threads (beer and gas) are 9/16-18...

Cheers!
Awesome. Thanks. I think Austin Home Brew has the for a bit more, 17 or so, but it comes with the poppets and all the ORings. I have a 60 dollar gift card so I might buy a new lid and all and get this one set up with all new. Thanks to all who replied.
