Just a fyi/reminder check your mash thermometer against an other one once and a while.

Had 2 mashes with very low extractions, come to find out temp was 10 or so degrees lower than thermometer was telling me it was.

I usually calibrate mine each time I boil water for starters a couple of days before I brew. Usually it doesn't require adjustment, but I figure if I've already got the water boiling it makes sense.
