I am looking for a cheap pressure cooker so I can start canning wort and doing slants. I really have no idea what to look for, so I was hoping i could get some help with this. I found a couple cheap ones on amazon, but I have no idea if they will be what I need.

Any help is more than welcome.

I found that thread before I started looking so I tried to look at pressure cookers that were about that size. The url stating that it is 2 Qts is actually 7.5 Qts, i dunno how amazon screwed that up.

What I am really looking for is how do I find a cheap pressure cooker, without finding one that is too cheap and might blow up in my face or just not hold pressure at all. Nothing is ever made equal these days and I was hoping someone would have some advice when looking into pressure cookers.

I have been using my Presto 8 quarts pressure cooker for about a year for cooking and sterlizing tubes, plates and agar with out any trouble. Just follow your pressure cooker instructions. Paid 36 with free shipment from Amazon.

@oldbeerdavid

I am looking at the Presto 8 quart pressure cooker atm and had a question, would it fit mason jars in it so I can can wort? Just mostly wondering what the dimensions of the pot are.
