I bought a backup hydrometer. I like having a hydrometer for finishing gravity readings because I don't quite trust the calculators for my refractometer. I got it from China for less than $2 shipped. it has an integrated thermometer and reads to 1.040. the scale is no more, or less, accurate than a typical brewing hydrometer. it is sold for saltwater aquarium use.
