We are going to take a day trip to Charleston while in Myrtle Beach in a couple weeks. We want to tour the city, maybe check out one of the carriage rides and such. I don't want to wonder aimlessly. Any suggestions for guided tours, or the best way to see the city

I lived there from 02 to 05. In your particular situation, it's best to just follow the tour guides.

charleston is a lot of fun! also i'm in myrtle beach (conway actually). couple of places to get beers: bumsteads, mellow mushroom, and theres a gordon beirsch in market commons. if you go to conway definately go to the rivertown bistro to eat, and the crafty rooster for brews!
