So I finally got my keezer setup with an air cooled system to a box behind the wall.

I only have one tap hooked up because my beer lines were only long enough to reach the nearest keg to the inlet.

I will be insulating further, but I'm wondering if increasing my beer line from 6-10 feet will mean I need to change the diameter from 3/16 to 1/4 due to increased pressure needs.

Thanks a lot for the input.

There's other ways to balance a system besides the inner diameter. Those McMaster epoxy nozzle inserts REALLY do a number on slowing down the pressure. I'm starting to wish I'd ordered 2 dozen instead of just 12.

But I do like well carb'd beers and short tap lines.

Could you provide a part number for those inserts?

Many thanks. I've no idea where to look.

Stick with 3/16.

+1

Obviously it depends on some other factors like keezer temp and serving pressure, but I'd be *really* surprised if you needed to move to 1/4" line. The charts I've seen for line balancing put the resistance of 1/4" line at about a quarter that of 3/16" line. So if you're serving well at 6' of 3/16", theoretically you'd need in the ball park of 24' of 1/4" line.

Worst case, sticking with 3/16", you'll get a slightly slower pour.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to order the longer lines tomorrow. I'll report back, but I'm confident you've nailed it.
