...are much lower once active fermentation has begun, right?

I heard my SS brew bucket fermenter hissing around the seals (due to blocked blow-off tube) so I tried to fix it.

Managed to push the bung (that the blow-off tube fits into) into the fermenter. I couldn't grab it out because it sank to the bottom (and didn't feel like fishing). Found a bigger blow off tube which fit the hole w/out a bung. Pushed it in too far - beer started going up that tube. Which I now realise I forgot to sanitise.

I figure I'll be OK - this is day 3 of fermentation and it's Wyeast 1968. RDWHAHB?

Generally, yes.

The positive pressure also helps a lot...ie. nothing can get in because so much gas/foam is trying to get out.

You will probably be okay.

Should be fine. 2 batches ago I accidentally used my water spray bottle instead of my starsan spray bottle for all of my sanitation. Turned out to be one of the better beers I've made.
