I did a smash with challenger hops and was looking to see if anyone else is using challenger? The hop seems fairly floral, but I was wondering what other people think of the hop!!!

I like it. did a special bitter with Challenger as only hop and it was great: floral and minty, it freshes your tongue incredibly when you drink a beer hopped with it

Okay.. The minty part is what I was not able to put my finger on.. I used about 3 oz in the last 10 minutes so it is a little bit hoppy as you can imagine, but very good.. I think I enjoy it more as it warms up a little!

I did a single hop pale ale with Challenger and found it to be very floral and almost a bit sweet. However, I don't recall a minty flavor. I didn't love this beer at first, but after it conditioned for around 1-1.5 months, it ended up being really good.

More recently, I brewed an IPA using a bunch of leftover hops I had - Challenger being one of them. I used them as a bittering hop and upon tasting this after dry hopping (before bottling) I could detect some of that floral flavor. However, no sweetness like the last one.
