What's the right hop schedule when brewing batches to sample hop varieties? Trying to stick with a 30 min max boil. 30,20,10,0, dry hop? Maybe 30,15,0,dryhop is simpler?. Then ratios building up by holding the IBU contribution the same?

The Brulosophy hop chronicles pale ale seems like too much and the pale lager seems like too little. Looking for American pale ale ie SNPA or 40ibus. Will use Us-05 for simplicity.

I'm not sure there is a "right" hop schedule, as much as what you're trying to achieve. I think you can get two fairly different tasting beers using the same hops but added at different intervals and amounts. For instance I wanted to learn for myself what Krush hops bring when added during both hot and cold side, so I worked up this recipe. It finished at 1.013 for 5.2%, and BS3 estimated the ibu's to be around 38. I really like this one, really easy to drink, though it may not necessarily be what you're looking to achieve.

That's exactly right and easy drinking pale ale so I can get a feel for new hop varieties. I have bags in the freezer I need to use up. I also want to keep it consistent as I go through them.
